What Happened To Elektra In Daredevil?

Elektra In Daredevil

Elektra’s exact fate was never made clear in Daredevil, but Elodie Yung’s assassin might make a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Elektra had a significant role in The Defenders after making her television series debut in season 2 of Marvel’s popular Netflix series. She was at the centre of the fight that united the Defenders due to her affiliation with the formidable ninja clan The Hand and her romance with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). Elektra, however, was not included in Daredevil season 3, and it appeared that her journey had come to an end once Netflix and Marvel ceased their collaboration.

Elektra’s MCU comeback now has a much better probability of happening thanks to Elodie Yung. Two significant events that occurred at the end of 2021 will be remembered by fans of Daredevil and the other Marvel Netflix series. Vincent D’Onofrio, who voiced Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin in Hawkeye for Disney+, claims that he is the same Wilson Fisk from Daredevil. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock, Peter Parker’s attorney. The possibility exists for Marvel Studios to utilise other Netflix Marvel programme characters, such as Elektra, given that both of them are anticipated to appear in other MCU projects.

Considering what happened to Elektra in Daredevil and The Defenders, it is plausible to bring her back. Daredevil and Elektra expected to die together as a building collapsed on top of the Defenders and Elektra in the final episode of The Defenders. Elektra’s body was never located, however Daredevil searched for her after the destruction but managed to escape. This is wonderful news for her MCU return since it leaves open the possibility that she will live or die in The Defenders’ climactic battle. The Defenders did not completely put a stop to her story, thus Marvel Studios has the option to bring her back in a future Phase 4 production.

There are other potential roles Elektra may fill in the future, if the MCU brings her back and reveals she survived The Defenders. With Murdock and Kingpin anticipated to participate, the Echo Disney+ series is shaping up to be a mini-Daredevil reunion. Now that Maya Lopez is operating independently, it’s possible that she will run into Elektra, who might be able to teach Echo how to become a better assassin. Elektra might make an appearance in Shang-Chi 2 as well, according to speculation. If she rebuilds The Hand, she might join Xialing’s new Ten Rings group or face off against it. Additionally, Marvel and Cox might collaborate on a Daredevil film or television series, which would make for an ideal setting for Elektra to make her MCU comeback.

Elektra might have passed away after Daredevil, but she might be able to return thanks to her death. Elektra’s demise and resurrection were already handled by Netflix, thus it seems unlikely that the MCU would do the same. But in the comics, Elektra’s passing aided in the beginning of the Secret Invasion narrative. The Marvel heroes started to understand what the shape-shifting aliens are up to when her body changed back to a Skrull form. Although it appears like the MCU is slightly rewriting Secret Invasion, it’s possible that Elektra’s Skrull identity was only revealed after her passing. As a result, she would have an opportunity to make a comeback during or after Nick Fury’s Disney+ series.

Fans were left in the dark about Elektra Natchios’ (Elodie Yung) origins and her affiliation with the Tentacle after “Daredevil” and “The Defenders” were cancelled.

Sadly, it seems like Marvel Studios has no desire to keep these productions alive.

Even so, Yung expressed interest in reprising the part in the MCU to Comic Book.

My God, I would kill to play Elektra once more. I’m not sure if she’ll appear in the MCU, but you can depend on me if she does. Because of how complicated and disjointed this character is, I adore him. Although she has elements of a villain, she is ultimately benevolent. And I can relate to that. I really hope Marvel brings him back.

Charlie Cox recently discussed his potential return as Matt Murdock in the MCU with the portal, but his response was anything but upbeat.

I don’t think Daredevil will be in the MCU, but I do believe he will. It’s highly doubtful that they’ll want to reunite us again; I believe they’ll change the role and bring in another actor. Therefore, avoid setting expectations because they must be reset.

Cox noted that despite the news, he doesn’t regret the show’s discontinuation and is eagerly anticipating the return of Elektra Daredevil to the big screen or television.

“This has happened to Spider-Man a few times, hasn’t it?” Life itself. Regardless of who the new Daredevil is, I wish them well. I’ll keep viewing these films because I adore them all.

After collaborating with Marvel to create a shared world on the streaming service, “Daredevil” made its Netflix premiere in 2015. The series The Defenders was created with new superheroes like “Jessica Jones,” “Iron Fist,” and “Luke Cage.” Sadly, all of these performances have been scrapped.
